Conveniently timed for Read an Ebook Week, select Kindle models are $20 off for a limited time. (I can’t find more specific info on how limited that time may be, so maybe don’t drag your feet.)
I have a many-generations-ago Kindle (with buttons! how retro!). There are still books I insist on having in paper, but the Kindle is my go-to for books for which I’m not sure I want to make space and/or pay full price. I check Smart Bitches Sunday through Thursday for sales and pick up tons of major publisher titles for $2.99 or less (my comfort zone for books I’m not sure about). Other sales postings are plentiful elsewhere on the net, but be careful about too much temptation if you’re on a budget.
Kindle, 6″ Glare-Free Touchscreen Display, Wi-Fi – Includes Special Offers is $59.99 after the discount.
Kindle Paperwhite, 6″ High-Resolution Display (300 ppi) with Built-in Light, Wi-Fi – Includes Special Offers is $99.99 after the discount.
(“Special Offers” means a thin ad banner at the bottom of your home screen and a full-page ad on your sleep screen. You can pay extra to turn them off, but I find them completely ignorable and endorse going for the cheaper price.)
