UPDATE April 1, 2018: This was absolutely swarmed by hundreds of Russian spammers per day who never visited my site, which means they had a direct line to the plugin, which means the plugin is a security liability and had to be burned with cleansing fire. Sorry to the few who signed up — this is why we can’t have nice things.
Since I no longer have social media to announce blog updates, I’ve installed an email notification option in the right sidebar (or at the bottom of the screen if you’re on mobile). Fill in your name and email address, and you’ll be sent an email with a confirmation link to ensure no one gets signed up against their will.
Once you’ve successfully confirmed you wish to receive this type of email from me, this is what you’ll get when I publish a post:
This is my 59th post since September 21, 2015, which averages about 2 posts per month. Many months, there’s been nothing. Some months (this one, for example), I’ve been really whiny and exceeded the average. If I know I’ll be invading inboxes, I’ll be more mindful of the frequency and type of content I post, but in the event you feel mistreated, there is an unsubscribe option at the bottom of every email.
